Nostril vs. High Nostril: Which Placement Suits You?
Two very different looks, two different healing profiles. Here's how to choose between a standard nostril and a high nostril piercing.
Standard nostril
Set in the natural crease at the side of the nose. Subtle, classic, and forgiving on almost every face shape.
Healing window is 4-6 months. Sensation is a quick 2-3 second pinch, typically rated around 3/10.
High nostril
Set higher on the side of the nose, above the natural crease. More editorial, more visible, and not every anatomy supports it cleanly.
Healing window is 6-9 months. Sensation is slightly sharper, and the longer healing time requires more patience.
How to choose
If you want a single subtle detail that suits almost any styling, choose a standard nostril.
If you want a higher, more architectural look — or you plan to stack a standard nostril plus a high nostril together — book a consultation. We will assess your anatomy before recommending a placement.
